This has been a crazy off season as far as the driver line up for the 2010 grid is concerned; Kimi out of F1 and going rally driving with the WRC, Button alongside Hamiltron at McLaren, Fernando at Ferrari, and the distinct possibility that Schumacher will team with Brawn and Mercedes... new teams, who will be the best of them?  Kobayashi has been confirmed as a Sauber driver, thought he did a good job last year.  Will Bruno Senna live up to the family name at Lotus?  Should be an interesting season Cool

I think Kimi just lost interest this past year.  Schumacher at Brawn would be a dream.

Kimi didn't seem to have any motivation this year until Felipe's accident... the WRC sounds like a good way for him to go, I think he was getting bored in F1 though he liked the paychecks.  He has some Red Bull sponsorship behind him now and with Mark Webber having only 1 year left on his contract for RB's F1 team maybe we'll see Kimi alongside Sebastian Vettel in 2011?

It would be great to have Michael Schumacher with Ross Brawn again, he and Mercedes go back a long way to when he was on their Junior team in the early 90's, so it takes him full circle if he does it.  I would think his motorcycle injuries could still prevent him from getting out there if he really wants to jump back in.

I'm happy to see Alonso at Ferrari, I hope it's a good fit  Smile

MS just gave his two week notice at Ferrari............................. stay tuned.  F1 needs an attraction in this economy.  I expect him to race.

3 year deal for Schumacher, must be hard on the Tifosi... Luca DiMontezemolo seems distraught:

Di Montezemolo added that he will be saddened to see Schumacher leave Ferrari but admits that he would not prevent his wish from being granted. "A guy called Michael Schumacher told us at Monza (in September) that he was renewing his (Ferrari) contract and it looked like his career would finish with Ferrari," di Montezemolo continued.

"But then there's another one who looks like him - German, same name - who decided to start a new career. Everybody in life can do what they prefer and I understand that there is somebody, at 41 years of age, who wants to try again.

"So I think it's possible that this twin, another Michael Schumacher - same age, same capability, same determination and spirit - will drive for Mercedes next year."

Michael looks pretty happy in this video... I give him credit for taking this on, he has nothing left to prove:
