Looking to get a 3" turbo back exhaust for my 88 944 Turbo S.  Obviously Fabspeed is very nice, but pricey. Was looking into have a shop custom fab something up using 304 stainless. Has anyone had something fabbed up? If so, how much?

I have one that Speed Force Racing made, barely installed, but I don't know if I'm parting my car out or selling it outright...I wanted to mention their stuff anyway, as an option for you to buy.  Check out their website.

Hi Darren,

I did hear about SFR's exhaust, but since Fabspeed is right around the corner I figured I could save on shipping and they offered to throw it on as well. Let me know if your willing to part with it! Thanks.

So ended up finding a fellow PCA member in NJ with a 3 inch stainless exhaust he had fabbed for him by the guy who apparently makes the prototypes for Fabspeed. He had it on an 87, I have an 88, the center hanger is reversed, and he also gave me a cat bypass pipe that I would like to have put on.

Can anyone recommend a good exhaust shop around the Philadelphia, Bucks County area?  Hard to find people that deal with stainless.  Thanks!
Adam

Mufflex in Trenton. 6098900481. Ask for Denny. Good shop, great prices, and very PCA friendly. Previous 928 and I believe 944 owner, and I think his dad had a 944 too. Check out the website--I think he has some custom turbo offerings himself. I just had a new muffler and tip put on in November(18" MagnaFlo) and was very happy. You won't confuse the shop/decor with FabSpeed, but he's good.recommended to me by Pete at RSBarn. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. Do you happen to know if they do stainless and mandrel bending?

Yes to both, I think. Just give Denny a call--he knows 944's off the top of his head. He has a history/connection to FabSpeed also. Here's a link to a 3" Turbo pipe from their site:

How far is your friend and his buddy who has the other 993 from Fabspeed?  If it is close enough maybe they can have the exhaust swap done there. Probably not a bad idea especially if there is a fitment problem for the maxflo on the new motor.
