Wait for the map to load, then hit the "3D" button on the left. You might need to load the Google Earth 3D Plugin. Shows the possible layout and the elevation changes! (Found on Rennlist.)

I grew up just a couple blocks from Blvd East in West New York, NJ. That's the section of the track's path that is on the Palisades cliffs. My family still lives there, so I if this happens I will have free housing and a short walk to where all the action is!!!

^^^ Nothing like an F1 race! Here's a simulation of the proposed course at Port Imperial that I found

Well, the track simulation may be rather accurate, but I can assure you that the local scenery is quite a bit different! To see the real thing, you can google YouTube videos of the planned F1 circuit, although some I have seen are actually being driven in counterclockwise direction (the Hudson River should be on your left went on lower elevation portion, i.e., River Road). The area immediately around the course is indeed rather nice, with spectacular views of NYC, but walk into town a couple blocks and some areas have much less eye appeal. It will be interesting to see if these areas get improved a bit. The area could use it. I can't wait! (I know, I'll have to- it's two years away....)
