Considering adding a K&N Cold air intake to gain HP at relatively small cost. Intention is NOT to track. What increased noise will I experience from this change?

If you do have increased noise, it will be the kind you like... only under hard acceleration. I doubt simply swaping the filter will have that much of an effect though...

Now that I am seriously considering a K&N Cold Air, I stumbled upon a paperback with an excerpt that read....K&N can cause expensive component damage to 996 airflow sensor system. ........Anyone hear of or experience such a problem?????
