I want to personally thank everyone who came to what seemed to be the LeMans version endurance Autocross for the Porsche for Pediatrics at Coca-cola Park in Allentown. We raised right around the 10k mark for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley - the kids and their parents THANK YOU for your generosity because when it comes down to it....that's what this day was all about. The course spanned two parking lots and full out stints took in the neighborhood of a minute and half. We did suffer from cell phone toweritis with our timing gear and our autocross chair went in for emergency surgery on Friday night (Dave is doing a lot better and wished he could have joined us).....for that Riesentoter Region of PCA asks for your forgiveness with the timing and hope that you will join us next year now that we have one under our belt at Coca-Cola Park.
We want to send out our thanks to the Allentown Iron Pigs for hosting our event, to all the sponsors (American on Wheels Museum, Autowerks9, Cabot Cheese, Cardinal Camera, Cars and Coffee of the Lehigh Valle, Cindy Ernst, Entertainment Services Group, Fabspeed, Freddie Frederick Entertainment, Lehigh Valley Martial Arts, Philadelphia Phillies, Specialty Cars of Allentown, The Reading Fightin Phils, The Thompson Organization, and Zeke Zelker), and to all the volunteers, especially Brian and Terry Minkin for putting up with all the trials and tribulations of the timing gear and the interference of the cell phone tower (one bazooka needed for next year to take it out) and to Nick for trying to get in the Guinness Book of Records for an awesome long course.
Again through your generosity we are helping children and their parents who are experiencing a very difficult time in their lives.
