Mike, does Potomac not use the "only instructors and participants" in car rule? I know Del Valley BMW CCA does not, but RTR sure does.

Look for me there--car #28--and I hope to be pitted with Tony.

Chris,

How are things looking for your w/e ?

I'll be up against the woods as always and I'll rent some power for the w/e to run a few little heaters.

Chris, after looking into further I found out that unless I am registered for an event I am not allowed on the track, unless being a corner worker (that only gets me inside the fence).  Just goes to show how "green" I am!!

Mike, these rules are not uniform club to club, although I think PCA is getting there, so I would not worry. I wish I had this forum when I was first starting out--it's a great benefit for between events/meetings learning.

You can learn a lot in the paddock just walking around and talking with people, and no one will complain if you sit in on the classroom sessions, too. It's a nice warmup. Look forward to seeing you there, assuming I get there (which is looking better today).

As of today, the w/e is not perfect but I'll take it for early March.

Mike - As Chris stated, there is always something to learn at the track-even if your not "on track"

Work kicked up, so I'm out for this weekend. Hope the car runs great, Tony, and you have good weather.

Guys I appreciate the support and encouragement, I have been going out to Summit Point religiously since the 90's and over the last 4-5 years have only missed a handful of PCA events. Over the last couple of years I have been introducing myself to guys in the paddock. Hope to meet many of you guys this coming weekend.

Thanks Chris. I'll shoot you an email and let you know how the car performed. Good luck with work.
