[Sorry -- wasn't sure whether to post this under DE or Tech]

For DE -- NOT for club racing -- may a new 5 or 6 point harness be installed and used for 5 years if it conforms to SFI 16.5 standards only (and has no indication that it also conforms to FIA standards)? I understand that the SCCA may permit SFI 16.5 harnesses to be used only for 2 years (but FIA harnesses for 5 years).

Thank you

Larry

Larry don't read into the rule. PCA require SFI or FIA harnesses.
That said, our DE rules do not specify which are to be used only that belts/harnesses be replaced every five years. I cannot comment on what SCCA, NASA, FATT or other organizations require. For RTR/PCA DE events we have a five year rule only.

Not this sh*t again! For god's sake just go out and buy a legitimate set of harnesses that comply to the rules as written.

These harness threads are more difficult than the construction of the Egyptian Pyramids.

Chris, Thanks so much for another constructive posting. Maybe when you get some free time you can read my question again and try to understand it. Or simply not waste your time (and any other readers' time) and not post at all.

Kinda like not posting the same question in three separate threads?
