So if you are going to go down big, do it on one of those nine days. Smile

Is it me or did I just read that Laurel always pays their claims???

One simple question:  Is there a single incident where Laurel did NOT pay a claim?

And, if there was a true risk of them just not paying, wouldn't PCA be more hesitant to advertise/back them in Panorama?

Think about this:

For the small cost of insurance, if I wreck my car, and Laurel pays the claim, I break even (really I'm way ahead).  If they don't, I'm out my insurance premium plus the cost of my car.  So, even if there's a small chance they don't pay, but a pretty good chance they will, that's worth the cost of the premium, isn't it?

What is everyone so afraid of?

Chris,

The 944 NA, may be relatively cheap to purchase, but there still lies the slippery slope. Not for engine mods, but for track safety issues (upgraded A-arms, replacing the hollow spindle on the left front wheel (early cars only), roll bar/cage/seat/harnesses, sealing the leaks), then some recommendation, baffle the oil pan, aux. oil cooler, car will probably need new engine mounts and the list can go on. But it is a lot cheaper than a GT3, and a lot of fun to drive.

Have you ever thought about getting a group together and putting some money aside in a "general fund" to help out with repair costs?

I know that I would just be devastated if I wrecked my car and had no insurance to cover my losses.

Chris,

You see, the thing that I find funny (perhaps not the right word) is that you guys are talking about crashing cars and worring about your car.......

Mike, I was thinking the same thing!

I like driving fast (in a 944NA) but I really love walking through my back door!  Especially on a Sunday night smelling like gas, rubber, and brakes.
