Regarding the 993 comments.  Yes, it is the last year of the Air Cooled series.  And yes, it is an excellent automobile.  But I must be honest.  The more I look at them, the more I realize that there is just something wrong with the design.  It looks like someone took a classic body and tarted it up with some plastic add-ons.  It almost makes the 996 look like a design masterpiece.

Can't someone just give me a 997, and we could be done with all this?Big Grin

This is the first negative criticism of the 993's appearance I have ever heard. I am even more shocked that your think the 996's appearance is favorable. Oh well, to each his own.

Now you're just picking fights Smile What is the beef so many people have with the 996?  It's the headlights, that's it! Other than that it's almost identical to the 997.  Active suspension? No thanks.  A couple extra HP is always nice, but the difference is roughly the same as the early/late 996.

I think it just bothers people that the early ones you can't tell the difference from the front btw the Boxster and the 996 because they are the same exact car from the door mirrors up.  Don't forget that saved the company Smile

And so what if I Accidentally wave to a few Boxsters Smile

Darren, you are so funny!  It is the lights!!!!!

And the rear section isn't "hippy" like the new one.  But as I have been saying all along, it is a great car.  They all are.  But we all need to disagree about something to keep having fun.Big Grin
