Has anyone checked into booking time at Alpine Motorsports, which I believe is set to open in 2008.?  Track looks terrific.

It would be great if we could be able to have access to more local tracks.  Can't wait for the new track in Millville and we know Reading is possibly going to get a track.  Summit point is a haul three times a year.

This track will be run different then NJ. Not sure how many DE days will be available and it has been at least 5 years since I sent my deposit money to them. I hope it is built but it may be a while still.

Alpine, if I understood the literature correctly, is going to be more of a country club type atmosphere just like the one that is planned to be built in southern Virginia. Dragon Tail or something like that and also the one in North Carolina. I believe the ownership group will try at first to not hold any outside club events so that its members will have that feeling of exclusivity. I don't blame them for doing it that way, if I had paid what the initiation fee is and then pay its dues, I would want to feel like it is a private club. I am pretty lucky only being 40 mins from Summit Point but I don't think I'd mind having to travel to go to a track. I'm actually looking forward to visiting other tracks this season. The problem with your trek down here is the never ending construction on Rte's 78, 81, & 83. I have been going up to Leigh Valley for just about 15 years now and I have yet to make a trip up there where there is absolutely no road construction going on!

They have purchased a full page ad in this months Vintage Motorsports.  It may be getting close to reality.

they have been advertising for years in various auto related periodicals. I will believe it when they break ground.

I would like to see that track built but I do not think it will happen

I agree with you Eric.    Alpine's site is located on one of my favorite roads to the Poconos.   I have seen many countless ads, heard much talk about the track, and received countless sales calls.    However, I have not seen any tangible progress since 2003 at the site.

I'd love to see it built.
