Are two people in different run groups permitted to share a properly certified helmet, assuming the helmet fits both heads?

Yes you can. My wife and I did it once but she put a halt to that right away. It really does get pretty nasty. Legal but nasty......

Aaron,

Technically, yes. The reality is that it's a logistical nightmare and for the reasons Chris mentioned during summer events.

My wife & I have the same size head, although she would argue that hers is more efficient, and shared a few events last year. After the Glen in August, it was a clear choice to get 2nd one.

That is really nasty.

But then again if your married, you have exchanged fluids of this type.

That is if you have a good marriage.

Yes, I would be sharing with my wife.  I just don't want to spend a lot of money until she is sure she wants to get serious about DE.

Aaron,

Next week, at Vendor night, bring her along, fit her for a helmet and spend the $200.  Money well worth spending ($200 = 4 tanks of gas for an SUV...).    It will also make her feel...'luved'.  Wink

On the other hand (devils advocate here), if you really don't want her involved in the DE program, sweat away in that helmet, start exchanging it back and forth and have her also change the brake pads at 7 a.m., without gloves!  Probably last time you will see her at a DE.

Good luck!

That must be a non-German SUV that uses regular gas.

CS with it's 26+ gallon tank and premium gas @ 3.20 ** 4 tanks = $320

That would be a nicer helmet I guess. Big Grin

So, basically, the group has concurred that the "sweat factor" is the only negative?

By the way, I'd get a Bell Star for about $100.  It may only be "M" rated, but it has the Snell Certification.  OK for me.
