Race1 dry track, qualified poorly (session was black flagged after two laps out).  The M3 behind me was much faster, but suffered the same in qualifying.  I get a good start and pass 3 cars in T1 trying to keep the M3 off me.  He ends up passing just before the last lap.  The Cup Car spins and oh sh**t!!!  Back to work. :X

Some advice for you Bob.  Mount your camera lower so that we can see what is going on down the track!

Also, that guy in the Cup Car was pathetic.  How he could possibly spin like that, in that place, I will never know.  Good thing that you got right by him.

Larry,  second vid fixed the camera position.  I had no time to get prepped for the race after dealing with electrical problems.  The cracked dist cap was very intermittent and when it finally was diagnosed, we had to drive to Charlotte and back to get a new one (6 hours of travel).    He never let off the gas and was lucky not to collect the field.  The guy to my left lifted a little so I stayed on it to gain the position and have a lane to avoid  the Cup Car if it did not clear to the right.   He was running Michelin Blues.  Even cold they should have been faster than all of us.

He spun almost in the same exact spot as the e36 that spun right in front of you right?

Errr, he was behind me, I hit the same slippery spot, but managed to keep the car from spinnin.  As you know T1-T2-T3 were dicey turns.  The silver 996 almost lost it on the start too in T1, that is how I cleared him.

HEY! That's me Smile I posted my video in the other thread... that was a blast Bob.

Did you upload the whole race somewhere?

Now we need to get Tom out there with us. I think next event is CMP which I am skipping, then HyperFest @ Summit.

From the other thread:

Agreed. I had lots of fun racing with Bob. Especially in the dry the day before.

300+MB Sat Race. I started from the back and took me a while to finally get Bob. If his car was actually prepped to GTS3, I would have certainly had more trouble.

I remember that Summit Point event too. I was on the same tires as this past event Smile I remember how fast Bob passed me in the rain that time too! Confusedhock:
