I believe that the PDK does this.

The PDK is an automatic transmission.  This is a manual. It has a clutch pedal. The Triptonic which proceeded PDK matched revs when you down shifted it manually.  But the Z is the first manual trans I have seen this feature on.

I know my M6 with paddle shifters automatically blipped the throttle on downshifts.
It was an incredible car and way cool !
I miss that car.

I'm guessing your dually does not have a clutch pedal like the new Z car? This is what makes this new transmission a technological advancement.

Yeah ok, so it is interesting.  I'm not sure it would be fast enough though.  When you do this manually you are anticipating the timing of the gear engagement and the clutch release.  In the automated case it cant bring the revs up until you start to go into the new gear, so I'm not sure how it can get the revs up fast enough.
