The first AutoX event of the 2009 'RTR AutoX+ Roadshow' will be the Central PCA ‘day after the swap meet’ AutoX at Hershey in ~2 weeks time on Sunday 26[suP]th[/suP] April. Central tend to host excellent, low-key, friendly events on the the largest single paved area in the state of Pennsylvania which are perfect for newbies and experts alike.

Start time – registration opens at 8am, 2 runs groups, plan to finish by 1pm 

 

Post event refreshments - [/b] we are continuing our 2008 tradition of having lunch and a beer after each event – all invited – final location to be agreed at the end of the event.

Caravan - If anyone wants to caravan to the event together, please meet at the 'Peter J. Camiel' service plaza on the Turnpike - 8 miles west of Downingtown exit (312) at 6.45am and leave at 7am (available Westbound Only)

Price - $35 for PCA members / $40 non-PCA members

Registration - event is limited to 60 cars (ish) so if interested please register early online using the CPA website - http://www.cpa-pca.org/  click events, 2009, April, 26[suP]th[/suP] and scroll down to register.  Please add the word “Riesentoter�? in front of Porsche year and model so they know who we are and so we can run/work at the same time.

 

Parking - all try to park together when we get there

Safety - you will need a Helmet which must be rated Snell 95 rated or newer, "M" or "SA" (as dictated by SCCA national rules).

PAX Championship- Points will be awarded for attendance & final position at this event. If you want to participate in the Championship, you must have e-mailed your final MAV spreadsheet with your PPF to Vee by Monday 25[suP]th[/suP] May (ie day after event 2) – if you have any questions, please e-mail [size=3]rtrautox@hotmail.com  or talk to us at Hershey. Results from the first autocross event of the season are below.  Note that these times are not handicapped (PPF).

I believe the politically correct term is "handi capable".  V, I think u have been in Tennessee to long. 

Anyway, please remember the PCA By Law amendment, Article IV, Section 48, Paragraph 4a which states ...."any non-Porsche competing against Porsches at a Porsche club event shall accure a fifteen percent additional point differential for each such event offically sanctioned."

V, despite our friendship with Jim, I trust you will  abide by these offical regulations that have been approved by the National Board, sanctioned by the Supreme Council and signed into law by our benevelont leaders, or something.

Did someone see a riced out 968 at the first autocross event? I think it was white. The back window was vibrating going through the auto cross course with what I think was a kicker where the spare tire goes!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see that there are a few new competitors for our road show events. Sorry that I could not make it, I had committed to instruct at an AX school at the PNC Center in North Jersey. Count me in for the Citizens Bank Park event on the 24th.

Looking at your time on sunday, it looks to me like you were already carrying one in your trunk

You won't need an anchor.............. I'll pull one of my 12 spark plug wires.
