Aaron, tread wear means little with cold temps when comparing MPSC's.  Operating temp is much more important.  MPSC's need to be around 160 degs to be properly working.  Most drivers don't see 140 in the dry on them so they act more as bricks in the cold wet weather.

I went out on MPSC's and did 2 laps.  Couldn't get any heat in them.   I was sliding around like a drunk dog on a frozen lake.
