If they have the extended warranty it's covered. Other makes are not. Ask me how I know that. That's the attraction.

I personally believe the Subaru driver was over enthusiastic on the brakes. Hardly move the car left and drive around on power next time. I have seen Todd pass 10 cars in the grass there before coming back on track. If someone had been following the Subie closely they would have a Subaru hood ornament.

.........and you think that those puny 2.5lbs extinguishers you are required to have in the car, in some PCA DE events, will do any good? You'd be better off zipping down your zipper and pissing on it.

Fire systems are money well spent. Good luck getting that covered under warranty. Its tuff to warranty a pile of ashes.

Nick a 2.5lb extinguisher does a great job on an oil fire. Used mine in the paddock when a car came in on fire next to trailer.

My guess is the car didn't burn to the ground although if it did track insurance will cover the car. Manufacturers warranty will cover the failure unless mods were done. That's how the pile of ashes would be made a whole car again.

I still remember that moment when the Turbo blew up... I was in the car with Tony and we were going down The Chute at Summit (if I remember correctly) and without knowing I yelled out "Something smells good, someone's cooking something?" and Tony replied, "That's US!" and after the carousel we pulled off to the left on the little access road by the bleachers... Tony then turned to me and said it was probably time for both of us to drop a few pounds. My last ride in the Turbo. I love this club.

Notwithstanding mods, will the manufactuer's warranty cover something like that even if it took place after the track and the on board computer shows numer hits at the rev limiter.
