John,
GLad to have you along! I'll have dates worked out this weekend and will post accordingly. The response so far has been very good, so I think we're all set for a nice drive.

Wayne,

My very first RTR event was your Spring Fling in 2008.  Up to that point I had only been to a few meetings where "AX" and "DE" were always discussed.  I felt embarrassed to ask about theses acronyms during the meetings.  At the end of our drive, several 968 drivers approached me to look at my 944.  So in this more private setting, I asked what these things were. They explained about autocross and drivers education, and referred me to RS Barn for service and more information.  Pete Fitzpatrick checked out my car, found it fit for autocross and told me not to be dissapointed as it really lacked the needed power.

He was right and suggested I buy a 968 if I was serious about track events.  I started DE in the fall of 2008, finished my first full season last year and was promoted to blue group at our last RTR event In October.

So, because of you and a few others, I am totalling addicted to Porsche motorsports and now own two of these fine cars.  How's it feel being the pebble that is dropped in the water, and starts waves in all directions?  You should feel very satisfied. Your hard work is appreciated and missed.  Thanks, and I am looking forward to another one of your excellently organized and executed Spring Flings.

All the best,

Mike

Mike - thank you. You made my day.

I love getting a bunch of cars together for a drive. I get such a kick out of meeting everyone and seeing the cars. I'll be honest, nothing beats the sight of 40+ Porsches weaving around the backroads.

I'm really looking forward to pulling the drive together after not having the time to do much last year. I look forward to seeing you again in a few weeks when the snow clears and the roads dry out. Smile

You guys are too kind. I hope I've not lost my touch, considering that the last drive I had time to host was in the Spring of 2008.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again - especially Jay's NTABXTR Smile
