How best to 'video' your autox run??

I want to  'video' a few of my runs at the next autoX from inside the car ... but not sure of the best way to proceed...

Don't know if:

(i) best to use either (i) small digital camera that takes video or (ii) old big Sony Handy Cam

(ii) how to mount in car as no roll cage and no head rest mounts - buy a sucker thing 9like for Sat nav system) or buy a 'bullet cam' for video camera and keep it in theglove box??  

(iii) how to play back & edit (got a pc, not mac) - what software to use

 

Any thoughts???

The only responses I can think of to this are inappropriate on so many levels that it's best for me to keep quiet.

Steve, for the answers:

1. I'd recommend a small digital video camera rather than a digital camera that takes video.  If you have an old sony handy cam, that would work.  You would need to convert the vhs (most likely) to digital

2. for autocross, I'm not sure what the PCA or SCCA regs say about mounting aparatus. 

3. to edit the video, I use window movie maker.  It captures the video and makes segments that can be selected to create a movie.

As to Tech:

1: The camera would need to be in a secure mount designed to hold a camera in a vehicle.  Most of the mounts I have come accross mount to a roll bar or harness bar.

2: The use of an additional tie down strap to keep the camera from flying across the car in case it came out of the mount.

3. There are some ultra small cameras the would attach to the visor and feed its signal to a recording device in the glove box or any where else in the car that you could secure the recording device.

I've heard of these, but not seen any, can you recommend any? Even better if you could point us in thee righnt direction.
