Has anyone experienced a rattle behind the right front air vent? It began last year. I read that there is a duct which can become separated and needs to be pushed back into place.
I did this yesterday and now it sounds like a telegraph machine at times. Any ideas?Confusedhock:

Probably not your issue, but my 986 had a rattle that seems to be coming from the air vent.  Turned out to be a screw from the door speaker that had come out and was bouncing around inside the door.

No not the same. Cup holders seem tight, glove box seems tight, but it is coming from the right front box/vent area.

I realize this is quite an old post, but I actually have a rattle which sounds like it's coming out of my dash/airvent area on the passenger side. Fortunately, Porsche's CPO warranty covers the several hours my tech is about to spend searching for the source Cool

I also got back in there and loosened up the duct joint and taped some wires down which solved the problem.
