I realize that this is an off-topic from Driver Education. But most of the people I know in the club are probably reading this ForumSmile Please feel free to move the thread if inappropriate...

Dear Friends,

I will be doing my forth bicycle ride with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society which will take place on May 21-22, 2011 (next weekend)! It is called "Coast the Coast" and it is also 20th Anniversary of the ride this year.
I will be riding 170 miles  (rain or shine) over 2 days from Long Branch, NJ to Cape May, NJ with overnight camping! This Bike Ride is a very big fund raising effort for MS Society with several thousands participants.

Multiple Sclerosis is a very nasty autoimmune disease which is caused by nerve cells degeneration and often progresses to physical and cognitive disability. And the worst part is that there is no known cure for it yet...
More information can be found here :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiple_sclerosis

I would greatly appreciate if you will be able to support my fund raising efforts for this great cause. All money will be going to MS Society and are 100% tax-deductible. I am trying to raise 1000$ this year for MS society!

You can donate directly through my personal page by following this link. Any amount will make a difference for people who have this disease! Just press "Donate to Aleksey" on the top of the page!

Thank you all in advance! I really appreciate it!

Aleksey

Alexey! Just seeing your add for MS. I donated for the cause, but I warn you, you will be walking like a cowboy and you won't be able to sit for 3 days. Maybe you want to take those donations to finally put that supercharger in your S2000.Big Grin
JUST CALL NICK

^Nick - thank you very much for support!

Just got home from the ride. Had an excellent time. Weather was very cooperative. Did 170.8 miles and spend about 11.5 h on a bike. Averaged 14.8 mph. Which is slower by ~1 mph than last year, but I didn't train enoughSad
Had an excellent time. Did registration at the finish for next year already!

Thanks a lot to everyone who supported my ride and donated for this great cause!!
MS fund-raising is still opened until July 8th!

Thanks again! See you at the track!
Aleksey

Alex,

Just saw this today, but was still able to make a donation this morning so it's not too late.

Looks like you hit your goal and then some.  Congratulations!

See you in a few weeks!
