Does the 1983 944 have power steering?

Please forgive this basic question.  I've just bought a 1983 944 and there seems to be no power steering.  Turning the steering while the car is not moving (for example, trying to get out of a parking space) requires two hands and lots of effort.  Is this because the model doesn't have power steering or because it has power steering and I need to have it fixed?

Pretty sure 83s are manual steering. This is desirable. Looking for a power steering reservoir (or read the owners manual, I bet it won't mention power steering).

For manual steering, ensure the front tires are inflated to the proper level. It significantly reduced the effort needed.

Thanks, Phoenix.  The initial shock of having manual steering has worn off. I'm now quite comfortable with the steering...
