Santa didn't deliver one to my garage for Christmas, but did leave me some cash, so I'm in the market for a mid rise scissor lift.

I just purchased a Dannmar MaxJax. - http://www.maxjaxusa.com/

Fantastic for under car work and not too much more expensive than a good scissor lift.  Not something you can take to the track though.

I would prefer a 2 post lift, but my garage is width and height challenged. A 2 post won't fit permanently and seems like something comes up with one of the vehicles, where I'd be moving the MaxJax in and out frequently.

Thanks for checking.

I have 10'in my garage, but the door opener is at 9'.  Great space for My Boxster and Z, but I'm not sure how well it's going to work with the Cayenne.

Finally...Now I have to raise my garage door opener to get the full lift.

V, glad to see she's up in the air!!! Seems like you managed with just one 2x12 on each side for ramps.

I've been looking at my door set-up and am not sure you'll be able to use same door opener, at least not without some modifications to the garage door linker arm to the opener rail. But, it may be doable as part of it may be as simple as just extending the bar that forms the connecting arm. However, depending on how you make the changes, a different set of springs may be needed too. I'd like to see what you do and am willing to help because I would do the same on my garage. Worst case scenario, do what I did, i.e., just remove the opener motor and rail, and just operate the garage door by hand! (I know, that sucks.....I hate it, so I hope an inexpensive mod can be engineered!)

Cheers,
