Hello everyone, I have a wonderful 2000 996 cab in great shape but the front sets look really tired. I took it to a auto leather repair place and they stated they could replace the front leather seat with oem leather seats for $1250.00 per seat. Is this reasonable, wow it seems a bit to high?[/font]

In the balance I'd prefer to replace vs refurb? Any ideas who is the best service/ guy out there?

Thanks...

Hazer

Drop a line to our Admin, Brian Minkin. He is in that business!

The price you got is correct for new covers and installation. The only way to save would be to replace the covers with vinyl covers or crack fill and re-dye the existing covers.

Brain and LouZ thank you very much for the feedback. I'll reach out the Brian directly and see if his business can help me directly.

Really looking forward to fixing this...

Start with Brian Minkin. He is a total pro at this stuff.

But if Brian can not fix:

Give M+A Upholstery in West Chester(right around the corner from the old Dougherty location), and ask to speak to Mickey. He did some wonderful work on my old e30 BMW Cabrio. It should be a lot cheaper than $1250 per seat, as long as they can be repaired. In any case, it won't cost anything to have Mickey take a look.

M&A (Mickey) does great work. He does all our panel replacements, convertible top installs and headliner replacements. I believe I am his largest customer.
