2009 C2S coupe w/36K miles

I get an odd dropout in power around 3K RPMs under light load/acceleration/hill. I can trigger it in any gear.... even 6th.... by getting up to around 4K rpms, then coasting in gear dropping the RPMs down to around 2.3K RPMs, then applying some gas.... get the quick dropout around 27K RPMs. Other times it transitions through this RPM range nicely.

No CEL and I sprayed the MAF. I checked with a tech at Don Rosen and he never heard about it but suggested it may be the vario-cam transition. I posted this on another board and some never experienced it and others say they get the same thing and its very annoying. One guy said his dealer drove the car with him and said it definitely was the variocam and "some have it, some don't" and there was nothing to be done about it. Hmmmm......

One guy on the 'net describe it as if you hit a bump in the road as the car jolts a bit.... as does mine.

Any ideas? This seems pretty odd an annoying to me. Otherwise the car runs beautifully.

Thanx
Bruce in Philly
