I know this isn't a Porsche or Porsche-related item, but I DO know it was designed based on a 911 and was intended to compete with it back when it came out...

It's a 1980 Renault Alpine A310 Fleischmann Gruppe IV... Yes, that's quite a mouthful, but it's actually quite a car. It is one of only 30 in the USA and I guarantee, you won't see another like it coming at you on the road. Only 224 V6 registered A310s in the world, and only a couple with the Fleischmann Racing additions. A few stats:

Engine: PRV V6; 2664cm3; 150 HP; 150 ft-lb torque

Carburetor: dual carbs, 1-Barrel & 2-Barrel

Transmission: 5 speed manual

Curb Weight: 2244 lb.

Suspension: 4-wheel coilovers; 4-wheel disk brakes; front/rear strut tower braces

Additional info: dual coil ignition system; 3-piece wheels; Fleischmann bodywork; Fleischmann header/exhaust; [/size]

The car needs some fiberglass, paint and interior work. The mechanicals are all in excellent working condition and it runs like a scalded rat! It can more than handle the twisties as well... I have lots of pictures including some of the undercarriage, brakes, rotors, suspension, etc.

I am in PA, but the car is in GA. I'm not really looking to bring it up here as I have nowhere to store it. If anyone is interested or knows of anyone who may be interested, please email me or call Ed at (484) 560-3316.

I always loved this Alpine - and its ancestor, the Monteverdi Hai...

I will say, it's not quite as sexy as the A110... but then, it's less than half the price of the A110... and still about as much fun to drive!
