Hi Everyone,
I have some good news! We have two potential opportunities to fill the driver's education gap we have in our 2015 schedule with the Glen cancellation. I would like to know your interest in either event, so please let me know if you plan on attending so that I can have both venues hold some spots for Riesentoter DE'rs.

Option 1 - First Settler's Region - July 11-12 - DE at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) in Alton, VA - approx. 7 hours from Philly. Full Course both days. Registration Fees: Drivers: $375.00, Instructors with one student: $125.00, Instructors with two students: Complimentary.

INTRO to DE also offered! For a $50 fee, we’ll get you out on the track in your car with an instructor for a single session mid-day on Saturday.

Option 2 - Allegheny Region - Aug 8-9 - DE at Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Wampum, PA (PIR in poll, formerly named BeaveRun) - approx. 5 hours from Philly. Full Course (including NEW south course) both days. Registration Fees: Drivers: $425.00, Instructors: $75 (very reasonable)

In 2015 the long anticipated South Track opens in time for ARPCA's August Event. North and South Tracks combined will provide an awesome course with 19 turns over 2.75 miles

Please take the poll above to let me know your interest level(s) and get the word out about the poll.

Thanks, Marty Kocse, RTR Track Chair

I voted but I've also run and instructed with FSR. They run a quality event. Their former track chair, Alex Bell, is now PCA National DE Chair.

Riesentöter is hosting its first Tire Rack Street Survival school for teen drivers at Montgomery County Community College on July 11th. This program relies on our DE instructor corps, so please keep that in mind when considering other driving events. More information available HERE.

As Chris noted here, the VIR July DE event is the very same weekend as the first Tire Rack Street Survival hosted by RTR. So, we will no longer actively pursue the VIR July DE.

Instead, we will focus our efforts on attending the Allegheny Region's Pittsburgh International Race Complex event in August. This will be the very first DE on the newly extended track. Registration is currently open. Please vote up top if you plan on attending/registering. Spots are already filling up and we don't want to be left out for the first DE on the new 2.75 mile course. Since the track has not been completed just yet, here's a link to a track simulator video.

I hope we can get at least 10 drivers/instructors for the event. I plan on attending myself.

Thanks, Marty

I just ran with ARPCA for the second time at their May WGI event. This was a very well run event and I'm thinking that the Pitt Race event in August with could get on my calendar.
