Interesting comments on SP, JC and SC from the Washington DC crowd.  Despite the wildlife and the track surface I still enjoy all 3 of the Summit Point tracks as seat time is a precious commodity.  If the talk is true about expanding Jefferson that would be a big plus.

I enjoy SP and Shenandoah, but JC has not appeal for me.

A couple of weeks ago I walked the track at SP. I was amazed at how much smoother the surface was than it seemed driving. Repaving would be great, but I'm happy to drive it as it is now, too.

I enjoy Shenandoah.   SP is a great track but in serious need of attention.   I heard that they lost a historic race over poor conditions.

With new tracks coming on line, hopefully the competition will force some resurfacing to retain club.

SP really isn't going anywhere any time soon. There are just too many sports car & bike clubs here in Washington  that will rent track time. Therefore there really isn't any sense of urgency for BSR to resurface. My main hang up with SP is the deer, I see enough of them driving into Bethesda every morning and now we are going into the worst time of the year for them. I want to go onto the main circuit but there are just too many incidences where deer are involved on that track. I prefer Shenandoah because I feel like there is less likely hood of hitting a deer on track.

I have only been on the main track at Summit point through BSR and thought it was absolutely phenominal compared with Pocono North and Pocono East.
Thanks!

Not to shoot down your theory but I have bagged a FOX at Shenandoah and they are not tiny either.

Was that you who nailed that fox at the exit of the first turn after the back straight during this past April's DE at Shenandoah? The course workers left that thing laying there for the longest time. I couldn't believe how long that thing layed there.

Yes that was me and I was just recovering from hitting a Ground Hog (a 20 pounder) on the main track.  Fortunatly I got away without any wild life contact at the August Summit event.

Well hopefully we'll have clear sailing all three days in Nov. The rut and the way those things run around the main circuit, not a good combination.
