This year's Championship will feature 2 qualifying races leading up to the Championship race.  Your position in qualifying determines your starting position in the 1st qualifying race. Your finishing position in the 1st qual race determines where you start position in qual race 2. Your finishing position in qual race 2 determines your grid position for the championship race.

Hope you can join us.

NASA has extended the entry deadline for the 2007  Championships to September 3, 2007 at midnight. The event has over 400 competitors registered to vie for over $900,000 in contingencies from leading aftermarket and OEM automotive companies.

The week will feature special test days hosted by The Mid Ohio School, technical seminars presented by leading authorities on car setup and safety topics, as well as the finest amateur road racing in the nation.

DD --

How many cars are you generally getting at events?  We don't have many guys in the club that run N/A 944's that I know of, but there are quite a few turbos (one in particular that is setup very nicely).  In general, what kind of mods are allowed for the turbos?

Hey Darren:

Apologize for the late reply.  The nnumber of entries in the 944 Cup races varies from chapter to chapter. The MidAtlantic Chapter is the largest and for the last 3 years has been the largest race group when we have raced with NASA.  The last 2 years we averaged between 19 and 22 every race. Are largest field was 40 cars this June at Summit Point.

The Super Cup Class is open to higher horsepower cars such as the 944S, 944S2, 951s, 968, some 928s in PCA Stock E, F, and H and Prepared D, F, and  G. Suspension and engines mods follow the PCA club race rules with the some minor exceptions.
