I was at SP on Friday for the first time since repaving. (Why did they cut the track back 3 feet at various track out points?)
There is loads of grip with the new surface, but it was hard to distinguish the difference in tires. I was on new BFG's which felt very similar to the R-6's. If I split hairs thinking back to 11/07 at VIR, they may have felt a little less sharp on turn in than the R-6's, but didn't break away as soon as them either requiring throttle and wheel adjustments. Having made a change to the car since the last visit to SP I can't relate the increased speed strictly to the surface and tires.
Does anyone have experience running these two tires and what are your feelings.![Big Grin Big Grin](https://rtr-pca.org/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
