I race with Hoosiers, I wont DE with them. I know "everyone" does, but I think MPSC, R1's, TOYOS, all stay more consistent for a longer period of time. Unless you are going for the DE championship, the real question is consistent performance not overall grip. If you are looking for max lap time then you should be doing TT or racing anyway.
IMHO, Hoosier is NOT a DE tire, pick anything else.
I think it's interesting also that tire choices also tie in with driving style. Some guys are quicker than others on certain tires for reasons I can't figure out. Bob T is very very fast on MPSC, almost as fast as Hoosiers. Someone smarter than me can tell me why.
