I thought that someone else might encounter a specific issue I have with harnesses in my 911.   The following is an opinion from the PCA's national DE Advisory Committee.  B-K's $300 harness guide bar is cheaper than having to install a new roll bar.

Joe,
Good question..and yes, the B-K guide bar will provide the correct geometry....

Subject: DE Safety Question

Pete:  While updating my harnesses, I encountered a question with my 911.

The horizontal member on my roll bar is about 6 inches below the harness holes in my seats.  Therefore, the shoulder belts angle down as they pass through the seats to wrap around the roll bar.  Brey-Krauss sells a "harness guide bar" that bolts to the B-pillar.  Although the bar is not to be used by itself, it supposedly fixes the geometry when used with a real roll bar.  The belts attach to the existing roll bar member, but they are routed up and over the harness guide bar to relieve spinal compression:

Do such installations meet PCA guidelines?
Thanks,
