Quote:Steve & Crew, you mentioned Hugh's name... I understand that he is running for the A/X position in 2010... I have not noticed him at a RTR A/X event this year, does he run & /or volunteer at any of our autocross events?I wish to clarify why Hugh McNenly is running for the AX Chair on the 2010 slate of officers. The current AX Chair and his choice for his successor have positioned themselves as only wishing to hold the position if a particular individual is elected president. What makes this club go is the volunteer efforts of individuals that commit to administering a program that they take responsibility for regardless of who else is on the exec. Rather then have the position not filled and the AX program fade into history the nominating committee reached out to individuals that have expressed interest in volunteering their time and effort to bring the club programs that benefit the membership. Hugh has expressed for several years his interest in volunteering his time and effort to benefit the members of the club. Despite the fact that he has not participated in the AX program previously he is committed to seeing that the program is continued in 2010 regardless of who is elected president. It is volunteers like this that make this club successful. Politics do not play into Hugh's desire to serve the club.
