Removing black marks on paint after DE

Thanks, Larry (and George). I'm now a believer in Nu Finish. I found some of it in my garage, and tried it. (Like soon-ignored new year's resolutions, in the past I have sometimes purchased assorted cleaning paraphernalia -- polishes, polishers, waxes, etc. -- when I've purchased a "nice" car, and then shortly thereafter, when faced with the reality of rolling up my sleeves with a bucket of suds, concluded "it's just a car" and ignored any cleaning. During one of those phases I must have read Consumer Reports and purchased, among other things, Nu Finish.) Anyway, I tried it on a few spots, and it certainly seemed to do the job. I had some initial reservations, despite my cavalier attitude about my car's appearance, because it was a "polish" -- which implies (at least to me) some abrasive action, however modest. But if it's primarily recommended and used as a wax, I figured I shouldn't be concerned, and the results seem to bear that out.

Now if I can only find an equally handy solution to the brake dust that stubbornly continues to adhere to my wheels after I've applied and hosed off some regular wheel cleaner.
