Yeah, I've been "tutored" if you call diving in head-first without a clue and making every mistake possible for three years "tutoring". Every project ends up requiring three trips to the hardware store, Pep Boys, or Lowes; five times the allotted time, several band-aids, torn medial meniscus (yes, that actually happened to me last year working on my car, and required arthroscopic surgery) a few stripped bolts, waiting 2 weeks for the second round of missing parts from Pelican or Sunset, eventually culminating in the semi-orgasmic satisfaction of completing the job myself. And the prize after all that effort typically amounts to saving a few hundred bucks, all at the bargain price of 10-15 hours of my billable time. (I'm a real smart guy huh?).
