Up for sale are my JIC Cross Competition coilovers for my narrow body 993. These were purchased at the beginning of last season. Asking $1,900 for RTR members (retail cost is $3,400).
I have been incredibly impressed with this setup… very comfortable on the street and incredibly fast on the track. http://www.vimeo.com/6389756
There are certainly plenty of instructors and racers in this club who have ridden with me and can vouch for the quality of this set-up. This is the perfect suspension upgrade for a 993 owner looking to take the next step in his/her driving development. Being able to adjust the balance of the car quickly and to accomodate for changing track conditions helped me make huge improvements in my driving over the past two seasons.
The springs are 8kg front (450 lbs/in) and 11 kg rear (620 lbs/in). This is a perfect compromise for those that want a competitive razor-sharp handling car on the track, but still want to be able to drive comfortably on the street. At 4 clicks from full-soft, the car is very comfortable on the street (in fact, more comfortable than the M030 set-up I had on my 993 cab). I actually made the 7 hour drive to VIR last year in the car and had a blast.
The package includes extremely high quality front camber plates and rear upper mounts (monoballs are actually made by the same Japanese bearing company that supplies Formula 1). I will also include the TRG extra long rear sway bar drop brackets that are required if you run RS sway bars. The setup is still on the car, as I’m awaiting a purchaser before I commit to removing them. I will include detailed pictures after removal and before shipping. Please PM me if you’d like additional pictures or information.
Asking $1,900. If local, I will also help with installation.
