Like I said, we are all believe in socialism to an extent, the difference is how much.
Again, only time will tell as to the financial impact of this legislation on the debt, and our taxes. Right now the health care system is costing the govt. way more than it will after the changes are imposed. Even if the changes do increase the deficit and taxes further, the increases would be minor compared to the waste that gave rise to this deficit which had been recently erased. All social programs cost money. The Republicans are simply attacking the most recently passed legislation. They could just as easily argue that public education, libraries, SSI, medicaid, and medicare are forms of wealth redistribution. Heck, for that matter, all taxes constitute a redistribution of wealth. Is healthcare less important than education, libraries, the war in Iraq, the arts, national parks, the infrastructure, wildlife preservation, public pools and recreation facilities, etc.?
It makes more sense to purge where necessary, and economically feasible, than to simply say stop taxing me further and leave things as they are.
