Actually, many or most Auto policies have been reworded in the last few years to clearly exclude any form of track activity, including DE.  I know my prior Allstate policy was - which precipitated me looking for another carrier.

So, "your normal policy would probably NOT cover that type of loss....ONCE."

No one should count on their normal auto policy covering even one incident at an on track DE event without first checking the policy language - generally you you find the exclusionary wording in the "Not Covered" or "Exclusions" sections of the policy.

The ACE / Bankers policy mentioned above is currently an exception to this trend.  Can't speak to probability of non-renewal after an incident but the agent of the individual who had the accident at Monticello indicated there was no adverse action - maybe there will be at next renewal...
