I don't have any authority, but I know that a helmet is good for 10 years. The Snell 2000 helmets were good till the 2010 ones came out (1 year late for some odd reason). The 2005 helmets will be outdated when the 2015 units will be available, regardless when you bought them.

The odd thing is that I have not been able to notice the difference of the helmets from one Snell to the next. If I take the same helmet model from Bell, one is a 2005 and the other a 1010, I can't tell the difference. Is this the same scheme that is used with harnesses?.......... Built in ABSOLESENCE? Can someone help me broaden my knowledge? Confused
