$1600 would be for OEM. Any dealer should also offer a generic alternative for $350 or so if you're set on using the dealer. They just have Safelite or a body shop show up and do it. I would not pay for OEM. Be very specific about what you want and ask to see the windshield before it goes in. Specifically, tint band and antenna. Don't take a generic green tint band if you want something different or if that's not spec for your car. Assuming your car has a windshield antenna, make sure the windshield you get does also, and check the radio before you leave. I would pick a station for you both to check before and after. Some people don't get that hookup right and you'll suffer forever. You can check the wipers too to make sure they sit right by hitting your washers.

I did my 944 at JBL Glass in Newtown Square and it was fairly priced and perfectly done. I did my Nissan Pathfinder at Glass Doctor in Bala-Cynwyd to save time and money and it was a horrible job that's still not right.

It's like a car stereo--easy to do right and easy to do wrong. Pick someone that seems to care and be very specific. Safelite at a dealer or their location should be good--I wouldn't have them come to you.

Good luck!
