How best to 'video' your autox run??

Okay, my camera mount arrived.

I've attached a photo.

My first impressions are as follows:
1) The design is very robust and the mount well constructed.
2) The suction cup is very very stable. I stuck it to our breakfast table and was able to use it as a handle to move the table - no chance of it becoming unstuck. It was also easy to remove by releasing the suction lock and pulling on a tab.
3) Although I show the mount with my camcorder attached, the mount is not long enough to mount (with the camcorder) on the angle of the front or rear windshields. It works fine on the side window.
4) That being said, my digital camera mounts on the front and rear windows without a problem, menaing that the mount can be used in the manner that I intended, i.e., using my digitial camera in movie mode to record footage of AX runs.

So, in summary - a great mount for recording AX runs with a regular digital camera, or a small camcorder, not so good if you have a 'larger' camcorder like mine.
