Steve, I would stop working on the upgrades after that and have someone drive your car and data log a lap or two for a marker on what to work on. Other option is to get some coaching. I guarantee some observation and positive feedback will improve your driving more than anything at this point and time. Ask Chris if he thinks the money spent on parts out performed him getting a little more track feedback from some instructors.
