Wow so many pictures that I'm not in!!! I missed Thursday, but Friday was a blast. We had a decent race weekend with NASA to follow. Saturday was terribly hot, however, I don't think I knew what my name was after the race. Late Saturday we had a torrential downpour that left an 8" deep lake at turn 8 that ended the day.
The rain was sort of a blessing in disguise, however, because it washed away the RTR coolant spills. Sunday it was cooler and the track was much faster - 1.5s/lap or so.
In addition to racing in PTE with my Acura, I also signed up for the Time Trial in my 996. This is basically a "fast lap" competition and was a lot of fun. There were only a handful of cars in TT, so I had plenty of time and track to get in a fast lap. Time Trials are set up as a sort of stepping-stone to wheel-to-wheel racing. In the timed sessions, it is open passing (no signals), though in most cases we were giving signals anyway. It seems like TT is gaining in popularity nationally, and may be taking some of the popularity away from drifting.
