If you clean it off right away it shouldn't be an issue. If you let it sit though, then you have serious problems. Always make sure to have a can of brake cleaner around when you are doing this stuff.
That's great if you can do it with the wheels on the car -- I can do this on my Acura and it's a huge time saver especially at the track.
If you are working at an awkward angle, be extra sure to tighten the bleeder up enough.
