How far is your friend and his buddy who has the other 993 from Fabspeed?  If it is close enough maybe they can have the swap done there. Probably not a bad idea especially if there is a fitment problem for the maxflo on the new motor. I have a pre-muffler and it fit perfectly but I have been told that many guys have problems getting that exhaust to fit and Fabspeed doesn't do much in the way of technical assistance over the phone.
