Not only easier for me, but bypasses the beltways.
I'm going down I-81 also. I'm not planning on leaving until the afternoon. What time do you plan on heading down?

81 is an easier drive but from where I live (7 minutes from 95 and the Delaware state line) going 81 adds at least 1 1/2 hours to the trip.  I did it that way last year and it was a hike. I can make it to VIR in about 6 1/2 hours with stops using 95.  For you guys coming from Allentown it makes perfect sense to go 81.

Marty, I'm leaving early in the morning.  I see there is a Thursday nite registration.

I'll call you in the morning.  I'm bushed.  No pun intended.

Marty, I'm leaving directly from work at the strike of noon.

As I'm not towing, I will be exactly following the sweet british voice on the Garmin lady. She took me on a great section of the Skyline drive for 10 miles last year.

The bunny is looking forward to VIR.   Tony's talking about my running over a piece of concrete road debris last year and cracking her oil pan the day before VIR.   The Boxster & I got their 2am that Friday morning!

If memory serves me correctly. . . . radar detectors are illegal for use in the state of Virginia  (??).
