The weather forecast is improving--the rain predicted is being pushed back in the weekend. Maybe it'll move allthe way to Monday? Highs in the low 70s. Should be excellent when the sun shows itself.

Let's make that - - Tuesday - - for the benefit of those RTR'ers that are staying Monday for the BMW @ SP.

George:

I thought you'd be praying for rain... then you'd have the track to yourself in the WRXSmile

Odd as it may seem, I prefer the giddy-up of the 3 on a dry track.

Awesome!! Looking forward to seeing everyone at the track!

Giddie-up is overrated Smile  I ran my Integra at the dyno today, a whopping 139 wheel HP!!! Not too bad considering it was 140 hp at the crank as delivered from the factory.

Ok, I see your 139 and raise you. My SSM car has all of 89 HP, but it's a crate motor just breaking in. I expect to get to 95 HP by the end of the year....

Chris are you bringing that car to any RTR events?

Darren, I'm sticking with the GT3 for RTR events. The Miata would not be much fun with all the high HP cars at a DE without the ability to pass in the turns. Everyone would blow past me on the straights and I would not be able to do anything in the turns.

In addition, the Miata lives at Summit Point and I don't have a trailer (yet). I thought about driving Shenandoah this weekend in the GT3, but I'm in SM and SSM both on the big track so I wouldn't have had much time anyway. These will be my first two races, so I should concentrate on them. My goal is to finish, cleanly, someplace in mid-pack. With 50 cars in SSM and 43 in SM, the pack should be big enough for that. Big Grin

I assure you, my car is not much to see, but you'll have to look for me, #40. The SCCA has more rules than you can imagine. In addition to the 588-page General Competition Rules there are four pages of Supplementary Regulations, one of which says: "NO RACE CARS ALLOWED OVER THE BRIDGE: Race cars may not be driven over the bridge to the outside of the track. "

The only thing about the car that's a bit nifty is the RaceTech seat with head restraint, and I hope to get my data logger and radios working. I figure if I get the full costume someone might mistake me for a racer.

The Miatas all have a spot together in the paddock so I'll not be hard to find. Look for RP Performance and I'll be there.
