My costs were similar to Brian's. $42K coverage, $3K deductible, $1268 for 10 events. About the cost of a set of "R" comps.

It did not cost me much more to make it a 14 event policy which was the number of events I expected to do this year prior to the tranny problems. For my car at 40K coverage the cost per event is $133 per event. I've been using WSIB for several years now. They can custom tailor the policy to however many events you choose, and also based on an agreed value for the car. Premiums will vary accordingly. Some that have had to process claims through them have been satisfied with WSIB.

I agree with George; WSIB service has been top notch. I have direct knowledge of three individuals who had trouble-free and prompt payment after claims submission. Unfortunately, my agent (Jean Dewitt) is no longer with the company. She was a rock and really helped me during my claim process two years ago. According to the WSIB website, the DE policies are underwritten by Lloyds or Chubb.
No need to wait until next season, WSIB policies cover 12-month periods; so a policy implemented today would cover you through the first half of next season as well.
