Why the new rack? Was the original one bad already?

The original rack held the hydraulic fluid like a colander,...  I had to top off the fluid pretty much before every rides. This is a known problem for the 964s and 993s. My rack was sent to Rack Doctor in North Carolina, the guy is quick and very knowledgeable. Turnaround time was only 3 days.

Made some progress this weekend. After a very nice visit from V and Ian, we exchanged glassware,...
, and then up to work. I managed to remove and replace all brake lines (hard and soft), replaced out of spec rear rotors and reinstalled calipers.

Oh yeah, forget to mentioned while waiting for parts I also striped the calipers and rebuilt them with new seal, and painted them with special caliper paint.

While I was into the painting mood, and since I did such a great job, I dissassembled the front shocks assembly, polished the stut mounts and painted the springs yellow, with a dash of purple on the top mount and adjusting collar,..!!!

So I ended up replacing the front control arm busgings, the tie rods, the ball joints, and the drop links.
In the midst of all this I forgot to wash the fender wells...:?
