Mark, you are a Riesentöter star! Thanks again. Sorry you're missing the Glen this weekend--the weather forecast is looking good.

Hope you have great weather.  Re-xrayed the ankle yesterday and the joint space is maintaining good symmetry.  I will speak to the orthopod tomorrow and see how long he thinks I will be on one wheel.

I was going to come up to the glen if I was able to do some rides, but since I am out of the event, it would create a liability issue.  Too bad since Eugen Hahn from NNJR was going (in his striped down 951) and he is very quick.  I hope to catch him again with NNJR at the glen. Cool

Mark, I didn't know that a Potomac DE qualified as World Touring Cars.  I'll drive a lap or two for you this weekend.

Cool You have made it to the big leagues.  It must be a taped telecast.  How was the Zone event?  The weather must have been perfect.  Is potomac still running only 3 sessions per day????????

Potomac does three sessions a day, and they are not too long. Same as Zone 1 did last year and last weekend. Zone 1 was a very relaxed pace with a W-I-D-E variation in the drivers and cars. I ran in white last year when I was in blue with RTR and I was in black this year when I am in white with RTR. Al Burt was also in black and we agreed that almost all of the drivers would be in white, if that, for RTR. There was one 997 GT3 I pointed by and the rest I could catch, including some who seemed to slow in the turns to see the sights. It was a great group to practice my traffic management--you know, slowing before T2 so as to not catch people in the esses but picking up enough pace to pass three cars before the bus stop. It made me feel fast, even though I am not. Big Grin Nice group of folks, though.

Sorry I'm missing Potomac at the Glen this weekend, but I'll program the DVR and look for Steve trying his new suspension and Maureen in the #48 996 cup car....

Potomac run sessions:

Friday - 2 25-minute and 1 30-minute session

Sat/Sun - 1 30-minute then 2 25-minute sessions

and the white run group starts off each day!

Steve, did you re-do your suspension?   I will keep my fingers crossed for you and the lack of black flags.  After the fiasco at VIR with 3 runs per day, I will not do events that run that schedule.  IMHO there is too much down time between one of your runs and insufficient insurance against mechanical and track stoppages, which seem all to often in upper run groups at the big tracks.

the suspension is AWESOME

only one black flag in white (mechanical) toward the end of the last session today.  Overall, no group has really lost much time.
