Pat, have Jack e-mail their chief instructor to the effect that you are a safe and courteous driver in our Blue/White/Black group and they will move you to the right group. I've driven a couple of times with Potomac and they run a very formal (and formalistic?) program. Nothing wrong with that, but don't skip the driver meeting!

I e-mailed their Regsitrar about the Green Group assignment.  She e-mail'd their Chief Instructor, and e-mailed me back.  I'm now wait listed Blue Group for what that's worth.

I don't care that much whether I run in their White or Blue Group, just want to come to the event since I'm not scheduled for anything in July and had to miss Pocono this weekend to attend graduation events at Villanova for my son.

He would have understood perfectly that I was skipping graduation to go driving, since I felt like I had fulfilled my parental obligation by paying for four years of school.  The boss wouldn't buy into that reasoning, so I missed a DE event on a track I haven't driven on yet.  Oh well.  There is always next season.  Will probably miss at least one event with a daughter graduating from med school this time next year and my reasoning won't fly then either.

Probably just as well - don't want to hear for the next 25 years that Dad skipped my graduation ceremonies to spend time with his true love on the track.

Pat,
I'm in the same boat.  I received a copy of Jack's note to Potomac and another note from Potomac registrar.  Result - I moved from waitlist Green to waitlist Blue.

Did you get to white yet with RTR?  I guess I'm hoping you move up again and maybe leave a vacancy in blue for me!

Jim

Still a Blue Group driver with RTR (not sour grapes - just a statement of fact). I think I've only done three DE events in Blue.

I'm still wait listed with Potomac for Summit in July.   I've registered to go to Calabogie with Upper Canada Region for that same weekend.  Waiting for an e-mail confirmation from them.  If I'm in there I'll cancel with Potomac.

Don't want to be sitting home that weekend as my wife is Europe that week so seems like a good weekend to make a long trip if need be for a DE event.

I'm seriously jealous. Next year I want to do one of the Canadian tracks, and Mid Ohio, and BeaverRun, and....

Hope you get in to Calabogie and tell us all about it.

I'll let you know how it goes if I get in.  Video of the track looks pretty exciting.

So who else is frustrated waiting weeks to find out whether you are in or not?

Boy I love Email from Carol!

I'm booking hotel for August @ the Glen and I still haven't heard anything from Potomac OR Allegheny regarding events I applied to attend!

Good Luck Pat!

Thanks.  I received an e-mail from the Upper Canada Region registrar confirming that I'm accepted for Calabogie.   The Potomac registrar replied to an e-mail from me and tells me I'm sitting 4th on their waitlist, so I'm going to cancel with them and go to Calabogie that weekend.

I'm heading to Upper's website now, shall we make this a caravan?
